Mestre Baz started learning Capoeira in Israel in 2000 at the Academy of The Israeli Center for Capoeira under the supervision of Mestre Cueca and Mestre Edan. The style that Baz and his teachers teach is of the group Cordão De Ouro of Mestre Suassuna from São Paulo, Brazil. In 2004 Baz became a certified Capoeira instructor by Wingate institute in Israel and has been teaching Capoeira classes and workshops ever since.
After traveling to Brazil to participate in workshops and special events around Brazil, Baz arrived to Michigan to visit family and decided to settle here. In February 2007, Baz founded The Michigan Center for Capoeira.
Since then, Mestre Baz has taught classes for kids, teenagers, and adults of all levels. Promoting Capoeira to public awareness by providing workshops, performances, and demonstrations at various festivals, fairs, and special events in Michigan, around the U.S., and abroad.
